Sometimes dinner is a simple and thrifty affair.
A box of Annie’s macaroni and cheese topped with sausage and put under the broiler. Make the sausage 4505 Meats cheddar brats and this frugal supper becomes something divine.
Happiness is…. Mac n cheese with sausage.

It was a stroke of evil genius to use those brats, my friend S____ is brilliant.
I love annie’s mac n cheese. Do you ever do the yogurt option it gives? I always do, it’s so much more creamier and tangier – yum! Esp with broccoli. Yours reminds me of how my mom would make us box mac n cheese into a casserole with cream of mushroom soup and hot dogs, something I made as an adult too, til I stopped eating casseroles.
I will have to try the yogurt version! That sounds so good. We had a lot of casseroles growing up too, it was a good way to stretch the grocery budget and most of the time they tasted pretty good.
