Nothing says love like a great bowl of soup.  I make a lot of soups and have many favorites:

A mark of a cook cook is a good sauce. Here are my tried-and-true sauces:

Bechamel Mucho – or White Sauce (Bechamel)

Blackberry-Sage Compote – for Roast Pork/Fowl

Fondue of Butter for Seafood, and Especially Grilled Oysters

Heather’s Greek/Thai Fig Vidalia Onion BBQ Sauce for Ribs

Pistou (a French tomato, basil, garlic, cheese sauce for soups and other uses)

Port, Cherry and Prune Sauce for Pork

Turkey Gravy
