I am rice paper /
Strong, transparent, and yet I /
Dissolve in the rain.
Small palmfuls of love /
Savory, sweet oniony /
Chicken kutlyeti!
How do you know /
What you feel is real? /

O Serenity! /
Feels so divine late at night /
Warm face, cool pillow.
Ringing in the hours /
Over the years of my life /
Family clock, old friend.
Swallowed up, alone /
Loneliness is the worst curse /

Sneaky paws, reaching /
Eyes fixated on the yarn /
Mohair, cat magnet.
Home alone today /
